Our DriverCure Test DriverCure Review
We purchased DriverCure and ran it on our IBM laptop in order to effectively gauge how well this program works in general as well as in regard to specific drivers that come with certain manufacturers such as IBM, Toshiba, Compaq, and other similar names.
DriverCure is made by ParetoLogic software, a company that works hard to maintain customer satisfaction and service. ParetoLogic has been around for several years, is based out of Vancouver, Canada, and has won several industry awards. It's also a member of SIIA, the Software and Information Industry Association.
Download And Installation DriverCure Review
Purchase is done from ParetoLogic's website or by clicking the register link in the program itself. If you just want to try the program out you can download it for free and run a scan to see which drivers you can update. You must purchase the program in order to do more than scan, however.
Downloading the program is very simple. The file is small, only around 2.8 MB. Installation is painless and quick, and should be easy enough for anyone with basic computer knowledge.
Running The Program DriverCure Review
Begin the scan by pressing the large, green "Start Scan" button. You can't miss it. The scan takes a very short time, in our case about 9 seconds. After the scan is complete you will see a results page that displays the hardware device, your current driver version, and any later versions that are available.
Below the drivers results list is a list of programs that may be outdated that you can get updates for. This is extremely helpful as often you will not know that there are updates available for certain software programs.
As far as updating the drivers on your PC, we would recommend NOT updating everything at once. Do one or a few at a time to avoid problems and conflicts. Also, you'll get stuck downloading for a long time depending on which driver updates you need. Some drivers are large files, and the program updates could be large as well.
DriverCure also offers driver updates for manufacturer specific hardware devices, such as IBM laptop hardware as well as other companies such as Toshiba, Compaq, Dell, and others.

Updating Drivers DriverCure Review
Once you have decided on which drivers to download and update, the download is commenced straight from ParetoLogic's servers. Downloading runs at a reasonably steady pace, neither fast nor slow. Once downloading is complete you are then able to commence installation directly from within the program.
We recommend closing all other programs when commencing installation. The only problem we occasionally ran into when using DriverCure was that sometimes the installation process started by DriverCure did not install the driver but rather unpacked it. However, it's easy enough to go back and install the driver manually. Please see our FAQ for that process.
Overall Opinion DriverCure Review
DriverCure is a solid program that will allow you to easily update all the drivers in your computer, taking a process that could take hours and reducing it into something that takes only a few minutes.
Pros: Fast scan, automatic download, manufacturer specific drivers, program and software updates.
Cons: Occasional problem with installation forcing a manual installation, program tempts people to download and update all at once where it's probably wiser to download and install one at at time.
